Lovin' It Writer's Box
Lovin' It Writer's Box
It can be a big AH HA moment for a child when they recognize that something they are crazy about can ALSO be the topic for their writing. Suddenly, the problem isn’t “I can’t think of what to write about,” but “Where do I begin? I have so much to say!” This box invites them to solve this problem by offering several different ways to write about their great love: as a diary entry, a poem, and a convincing piece that this (something they love) is the best in the world. If they only want to write about it one way, or if they want to switch to new favorite topics with each piece, high-five your young writer and be an excited audience. There is no one way to do it wrong and many ways to do it right. There are many invitations for writing here. Help your child find the way that works best for them!
For children ages 7 to 12.
